Countries with great World Cup histories didnt make it in 2010...Sweden, Hungary, Belgium, Scotland, Bulgaria. 64 teams would truly make it a WORLD Cup. 64 countries = less than 1/3 of the World YES! 2 Months!!! 60 days! I love me sum World Cup. USA, Russia, Japan, or Mexico could do it. Other might have to do joint-hosting. But it takes investment because hosts always leave as richer nations. just take the regular world cup and multiply by 2. Round of 32, Sixteen, Eight, Final Four, Finals. this way its more of an accomplishment making or advancing the round of sixteen. you could finish 2 groups a day (4 matches) 14:00 - 16:00- 18:00- 20:00 @pat in the hat, i am not defending this crazy tournament idea but myself, if you think about it, the champion would only play 1 more game than they would in a 32 team tournament. Thats nothing for a player to whine about! anyways like i said you could play 4 games a day during group stage, so it minght not have to be 2 moths long PEOPLE PLEASE.... there are over 200 FIFA national teams.
